Super Bowl 2013 Commercial Wins!
First let me start with what I feel didn’t work.
I thought this year’s commercials for the most part were better than they have been the past few years. The one thing that pissed me off or rather just annoyed me was all the interactive bullshit. I know in these times of smart phones and tablets it can be fun when advertisers take advantage of them. They can be a great tool used to add to an the experience. But, the key word is to “add” to the experience. It shouldn’t be the whole experience.
I realize that most people are like sheep and have lost the ability to think for themselves or comprehend things past what they want for themselves. But, if you’re asking me to buy something, don’t make me jump through hoops to do so. Yes I am talking about you World War Z and Ironman 3. You play quick little previews and then tease the full trailer at your website. No! I don’t think so. You want me to see them movie, don’t tease me by making work for it. I want you to work for it. I’m thecustomer, show me the full damn preview. Want me to visit the website, then offer me something else to go there. Don’t sell me a commercial for a commercial for your websites.
And Coke, no I don’t want to stop WTF I am doing to doing to go to your website and vote for a winner. It’s your commercial, write an ending to it yourself, don’t pawn it off on us because you don’t want to come off as sexist or racist.
Now let’s take a look at what did work in my opinion. First up and these are in no particular order.
